If I had to go Powerjoke, I'd go with one of the later 7.3, say 2001, or 2002. The 6.0 litre powerjokes had problems the first couple of years, even now they still have some problems, but better than before. But the best of all would be to get the Ford, yank out the powerjoke, toss it into the dumpster, shove a Cummins into that Ford (just like Ford does themselves on the F650 series), then you'd have youself a real rig.
