Casey: I realize your post is quite old by now, and I realize that you've probably already solved the pittman stick problem - but I will offer this: (here's hoping you still have your email notification turned on)...
I have a friend here who has one of the Oliver 415 mowers (he needs a part for his but more about that in a moment) and we were talking just last night and he told me that he could go down here to the local Co-Op and buy pittman sticks off the shelf. Now I don't know if he was just blowing smoke or what, but he seemed confident - even sure - that he could. He talked like he had done it before... If you want - rather, if you're still interested - I will check with those folks & let you know if they still have them on the shelf. No cost involved - my pleasure.
Now back to my friend: He has an old 415 mower with a bad "wheel" on it. Part of the hub is busted out and gone. The "wheel" I am referring to is the one that the pittman stick works off of. It's right at 8 inches in diameter & 2 inches thick with a hub that's 2 3/4 inches long. It's heavily counterweighted - in fact it looks like ALL the weight's on one side. That's what HE needs and anything you could do - any leads or whatever would be seriously appreciated. Let me know about the pittman stick (and please keep us in mind about the wheel)... THANKS...

Today's Featured Article - Good As New - by Bill Goodwin. In the summer of 1995, my father, Russ Goodwin, and I acquired the 1945 Farmall B that my grandfather used as an overseer on a farm in Waynesboro, Georgia. After my grandfather’s death in 1955, J.P. Rollins, son of the landowner, used the tractor. In the winter 1985, while in his possession the engine block cracked and was unrepairable. He had told my father ... [Read Article]
