I have seen SAE 30 recomended in the ones in the stores. I use SAE 30 in mine. I fixed a compressor the other day for a guy that does construction work and needed his compressor kinda bad. I tore it down and found that a reed valve was all broken up. I made one from a piece of spring steel and has been running for a month now. He was happy.
