James, I probably do have the instructions around here somewhere, but at this moment I can't find them. It is really not that difficult. Remove the starter, generator, and voltage regulator. Tie the brown and blue curcuits together (A and B curcuits) at the alternator end and the starter end. I always put a diode jumper wire in the GM alternator that you will use. You will probably have to fabricate a mount for the alternator- I have had good luck turning the mounting bracket end for end to line up the pulleys. I then wire it up like any other 12-volt system, and put a starter relay ahead of the solenoid to make the switch last longer. The kits say to then wire your 12-volt batteries in parallel, but I prefer to use two 6-volt batteries in series. These probably aren't the best instructions, but they are from memory, and you know how that can be sometimes! Anyway, it's not very difficult. It's not necessary to get the John Deere kit, but it is more convenient. There are aftermarket kits available as well, some are cheaper, some not. Hope this helps. Mike
