Nice paint jobs sometimes hide bigger problems than cosmetics. I wouldn't attach "nice" to any cab on a 10/20 series tractor. They are aftermarket Hiniker or Year-A-Round brand cabs that are mounted directly to the frame. This makes them loud - everything rattling from the vibration and the engine noise funneling right back to you. They're also almost unbearably hot in the summer. Depends on the hours you plan on being in this beast. You could take the doors and glass out in the summer and have a 4 post canopy. The loader increases the price a bit if it's in good condition. Is the tractor a wide front(better be at the asking price)? If so, at that price it better be a Deere, not a Norden or Shwartz. They tend to bust even without the stress of a loader on front. You haven't said where you're from. Here, that tractor alone is worth 4-5K. I don't know what loaders bring... 1500 maybe??? Personally I'd hold out for a diesel but, if you're not gonna put a lot of hours on it or work it hard, gas might be fine. Remember there are a lot of tractors out there and many of them for sale. Don't even go look at it if you're not willing to walk away.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
