A lot of this "rare" talk is just an attempt at sales gibberish--and half the time, the tractors aren't really rare. I tend to separate tractors into about three categories: ordinnry (the ones I love most), uncommon, and rare. What is an example of a rare tractor? Maybe a Waterloo Boy? I don't know. In my part of the country (lots of hills and young mountains), the "Wheatlands" or standards are uncommon but go out west and to western Canada and you have to kick them out of the way just to be able to walk. A fellow in our club has a "Fate-Root-Heath/Plymouth" (pre-Silver King). I would have to say that is rare. Another fellow has a HI-Crop JD 420. Rare? I don't know; I'd place it in the uncommon category. My $.02.
