There's a fourth choice, depending on where you live. We're too far out for either cable or DSL, (southeast of Denver, CO) but have Wireless Broadband. Cost is comparable to DSL, ours is $39.95/month for 1 megabit service, including equipment lease (nothing to buy up front). We had a similar service when we lived in California. Monthly access was a little cheaper but you had to buy the equipment up front. These systems us a dish about the size of a direct broadcast TV dish, except that its pointed at a tower somewhere rather than at a satellite. Ours has worked much more reliably than what I hear about DSL from various friends. Do an internet search on "wireless broadband" or "motorola canopy" (the equipment everybody seems to use), & see if there's anything in your area. Good luck, Keith
