I ordered new rims to replace the rusted out rims on my 641 Ford. They came painted with Ford gray paint. I had 2 gallons of Imron Clear on the shelf from another life time,so I decided to cover the Ford paint with the Imron to add longevity and a better finish. The Imron instructions said that Imron clear was only to be used with Imron paints. Any other use would certainly tear a hole in the universe, or worse. I painted them anyway. The results far exceeded my expectations. It made the Ford paint look like Imron. Real impressive. Thought I'd let you know. I would be interested in any information concerning Imron Clear.
