i have seen several tractors run thru sales without seriel number tags on them, lotsa farmers being forclosed on by banks and fha in the 80s that had the clause in their loan papers, any and all eq you own or aquire is included in morgage, the banks went to the insurance componys and sent the sherriff after the tractors, i seen it happen, seriel number tags dissapeared, one 1066 showed up at a consighnment sale last spring, i had to pass on it, i bought a tractor in 97 that had the tag on it had it 3 years i had borrowed money from bank on seriel number, seriel number came up stolen when new , our local law indited me for reciveing stolen property, of coarse law impounded tractor, lawyer makes a deal with our prosecuter, man it was bought from shows were he bought it , yes i sold it to him, look since youve never been in anykind of trouble , plead guilty to reciveing stolen property, do 1 year probation its over and done, you wont have to go to court, b easy on yourself, at same time bank is throwing a fit they have a loan out with no collateral, so at my lawyers advise i plead guilty, case over right, ha ha ha , jds insurance company sues me for what the tractor cost new, 24000 bucks so when it was over i lost the 15000 i give for the tractor 2500 on the lawyer in local court 2500 on the lawyer in the jd lawsuite, since i had pled guilty i was automaticly guilty 24000 to jd ins plus intrest
