I am rebuilding my 1150 dozer that has a 401 diesel. I tore down the engine and it was realy experianced. Then I found a used engine on e-bay. When I got the engine the engine it wouldn't turn over so I tore it down. The problem was that the exhaust was not protected from water. The sad part is that it apears to be reciently rebuilt(absolutly no ridge on the sleaves). My question is I have three pistons and wet sleaves that look like they just came out of the box. is it ok to use these and just buy three more or is this a bad idea? and can I buy them separate. I only see "kits" sold?
