Hi guys; The tractor is 120HP 6cylinder Ursus made in Czech. The baler is Class 4 foot with wrap & twine. The cost of silage wrap here is around $70 + roll buying in bulk. You can get 20 bales of 4 foot diameter silage; and 25 bales of 4 foot diameter haylage from one roll of wrap. This area is 98% arable, grass only grown for small beef herds & sheep flocks. They make all silage/haylage bales around here because its easy to store & move about if sold. The big dairy herds are concentrated on the wetter western & northern areas of England. They chop silage with big self propelled foragers which will clear 10 acres an hour - 500 to 600 tons. They store in "clamps" which are concrete sided & floors with or without a roof. Cheers David
