PHOTO - not all tractors worked on farms

Hi Gang;
Photo of mid-1950's Fordson Major Diesel RAILWAY WAGON SHUNTER. It was basic industrial model without pto & hydraulics, fitted with single pedal industrial heavy duty drum brakes. Used in railway yards to push rail trucks around sidings and into factory buildings where steam engines were not allowed to enter.
Huge steel girders bolted to the sides of the tractor with steel push plates on front and rear. And the towing hooks to attatch to the wagon hitches.
This particular tractor is in original (unrestored) condition, and original cab. beautiful, too good to mess with.
