Sorry I took so long to reply back. Seemed as though my out-of-town project was never going to end. I tried the hookup as suggested. The solenoid looks much different than I expected (looks like the one on my old mower). Turns out that wire was already attached. I popped the box where there ignition toggle is and it has maybe 8 wires hooked to it. I assume that what I want to do is hook up to one of them. My question is (since I was too afraid to blow this thing up) how can I tell which lead to hook this up to? Is there a way to tell? It was tough to follow all of the wires through the unit. Another option I could see is possibly starting the unit with a screwdriver at the solenoid, but there are a fair number of moving parts there and Im not too comfortable doing it as I am really just a "weekend warrior" when it comes to this stuff :). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. thanks

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
