You can fit a 12V GM ALT under the hood of a 300 utility very nicely. There is a kit that has a bracket for it, or you might just make one. Use 3/8x1 flat stock. Use the adjustment slide from the original to line up the new alt. There are two holes in the block that the new bracket mounts to. Weld short ears on a peice of flat stock to mount the bottom of the alt. Also, if the generator runs in the same direction it should work
