Depends on what size tank you have on the tractor for how long it will run. The tank guage could be bad also and not being filled enough. Should never fill the tank over 70-80% to allow room for expansion or you may experience the pop off valve opening during warm weather. When it reaches 70-80% fill then liquid fuel should come out of the fill bleeder valve. Sometimes the tube can break off inside tank on the fill bleeder valve also. You need a nurse tank on your property for fuel storage of 250-300 gallons or larger to fill from. You could have a tank on a trailer for on farm use only but some places won't fill a trailer tank and it's illegal to drag a LP trailer tank yourself down highways now. Could use it for home heating or shop also but make sure the storage tank you buy or get from a LP distributor has a wet line in it for liquid filling for the tractor. You'll also need a liquid fill line. Is the vaporizer/regulator working properly? If the hoses or thermostat or hot engine water isn't flowing thru to vaporize liquid LP that could be your problem. You run on vapor to start and after it has warmed running on liquid to vaporizer correct? If only running on vapor and not switching to liquid you won't get all the LP fuel out of the tank and use it's capacity. Most Fords had a Zenith LP setup or is yours IMPCO ? You should have almost full tank pressure to the regulator inlet. I say almost because it shouldn't let full tank pressure out and the excess flow valve safety disc on inside of tank valve should slam shut disabling flow. You only turn the valves on & off slowly to keep the excess flow valve from shutting off all the way or partially. Excess flow valve discs seldom give problems on tank valves but it can happen. Out of regulator to carburetor should only have 8-12 oz. pressure. Fuel line hoses can also collapse internally causing flow problems. Only use special hose and fittings rated for LP.
