I'm not sure Tempo is actually registered as a product for use in commercial corn production, and I'm pretty certain it is not registered for use over the top of edible vegetable production-you did not mention if your corn was sweet corn, or field corn. Even if Tempo carrys a label, the price is so high it would not be feasible compared to other products on the market. One plus side of Tempo is that it is extremely safe for use as labeled in and around buildings/houses as a insecticide to knock down beetles, crickets, and spiders. If you are loosing alot of the tassels, it might be Corn borer. Your chances of killing these lie best with an commercial product. I suggest you contact a local agronomist or crop protection specialist and have them look at the field to determine you infestation level. You will need to go through a chem dealer any way as many of the products are restricted use. Also few people have a high clearance sprayer just sitting in the back yard ready to spray over the top of tall corn.
