Found and considering a John Deere BO however I'm not familiar with this model and looking for some answers to a few questions. The tractor's SN is 337231 which I believe makes it a 1947 model. Its decent shape, overhauled, hsa a PTO and electric start. I'm looking for answers to the following: 1) Are parts available? I'm assuming most parts are also used on the regular B but are the parts that are unique to the BR/BO that would be tough to find? 2) I noticed some oil leaking on the ground uder the rear. Is this a normal issue? 3) What are things to look for that could be hidden problems? 4) There are 4 strips of metal mounted on the fenders in the operators compartment (2 on each side). These strips are rusted through but not rusted through the fender. Can replacements be found or is there another repair method that can be used? 5) I noticed that in the rear the fenders in spots do not atach to the bracket across the back of the tractor. Are the fenders suppose to that bracket so no gaps are showing? 6) It needs hardware from the gas bowl to the carb. Are these parts available? 7) what is the going price for one of these (I live in the east)? Any info will be appreciated.
