They will cr@p wherever they are when they have to cr@p as most animals do, and they are very messy. Each dog is different, don't know your dogs habits!! They are very good for tick control I am told by a friend of mine who has some and also probably a better guard dog to warn you when someone comes up than you own now!! Good luck if you get some.
