Around here, the wheat itself was barely knee high. Most of it was even shorter. Really cut into a lot of guys straw contracts. When we were binding wheat, we were almost dragging the cutter bar on the ground to get enough of the straw to tie into bundles.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
