Don't know if I did it the right or wrong way but, what I did was with it closed and no/zero preassure on the hyds I just removed the cylinder. You may have to undo the quick connects and then hit the ball to make sure you have no preassure but with the way my cylinders where leaking it didn't need to be done. Now if your working on the cylinders on a NH 850 or one like it there is a trick to get the cylinders apart. If you need that info or even a picture of the brake down drop me an e-mail
