Hi 4010 GUY; The bracken plants produce spores under the leaves which are carconogenic (spelling?). Years ago they used to walk through the bracken with backpack mister-blowers to spray but the operators got sick. To-day it can be sprayed from the air - very expensive. Many years ago they used tractor drawn flat rollers which had steel blades like tractor tyre treads to crush and chop the stems. Cheers David
