We sold it for $3 a bale, roughly #40 bales. Some just pitched 'em in and others staked them on the shore so half is on the water and half is out. I read somewhere that is how you are supposed to do it. Couldn't tell you for sure but like I said some people keep coming back. Heck, I have seen little potato sized sacks of barley straw sellin' for $10 at some of the elevators last year so our $3 a bale is a bargain! We did have a hay customers daughter take some to the pet store she works at... I guess a lot of people were asking about it in there... interesting to see how that one turns out for us.
