Hello, We were out mowing this afternoon with our MF 265 diesel and the engine suddenly surged twice and then quit. It would not restart so we bled the fuel lines, there was air in the lines, and after they were bled it started right up. We mowed for 5 more minutes and then it surged once and quit. This time we waited about 10 minutes and it again restarted however it was time to move on to other stuff so the tractor was parked and left for the day. We are thinking that there are two possible causes...possibly a slight clog or blockage in the bottom of the fuel tank or lines before it gets to the filter or possibly a leak in one of the lines, or both. Since y"all are experts in the field of just about anything tractor related and beyond, i figured i"d ask what steps should be taken first tomorrow? Or does anyone have another suggestion as to what it could be? Thanks in advance.
