Rich, The most important thing, in my book anyway is to allways put forth your best effort at whatever you decide to do. Ive run all types of heavy equiptment my whole life, mostly cranes..(Dad had crane service...helped alot ) Bare in mind that while a year may seem like a long time, youve prob still got alot to learn about trucking...I thought after about 5 yrs on cranes that I was pretty hot stuff and I was actually pretty decent, it took another 10 to realize that it was actually a continuous lerning process...It came down to what my Dad once said, "when you quit trying to get better you start getting worse"...All that being said, cranes can be an interesting and challenging career while the pay is usually tops for equipt operators there is a lot of pressure and headaches involved...Dozer,loader,hoe is usually less pressure and a little easier to master a good grader man is worth as much as a crane guy but thats not a skill youll pick up in a year either. I dont know squat about plumbing but would strongly suggest that whatever you decide to do try to get into a union or at least get a 401k going, Youd be suprised how fast the years go by. I know I am!...# 1 most importantn thing is to give it your all! oppertunities come to those who EARN them!...hope I didnt put ya to sleep...Don

Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
