Rich; The #1 advise I can give to you is to choose a job doing something you like to do. Yes better paying jobs are great but they get old real fast when you do not enjoy the job. #2 would be retirement and insurance. I know you are only 21 but now is the time to think about it. At least start a 401K on your own if you need to. Now I do not know anything about plumbing but can tell you anything you want to know about truck driving or equipment operator. I have done both all my life. A operator can find long lasting jobs but these are mostly in mines and such and you may need to move by one. Other operators work construction jobs. This means rain outs; and layoff when job is done. Yes you could find a construction job with a big company across the street from you but when that job is done you need to move or travel daily to the new job that might be miles away or take a layoff and find a new company. I have known operators that have joined the union just so they could get a house loan because they work for so many companies in one year. You need 2 years with one company just to get a loan. While you still work many jobs you are allowed to list all union jobs as 1 to get a loan. Plus the union offers steady insurance even though it is paid by many jobs over a year. The 2 better paying jobs as a operator are a blue top dozer operator (which takes years to learn) or a crane operator (the bigger the better). While you may be able to find a loader job right off the street a crane operator starts as a oiler. A oiler is nothing more than the operators go for and grease monkey but get with a good operator and he will teach you a trade for life. If you like driving get your class A cdl and hazmat; double; tank endorsement. While you need 2 years trailer experience LTL companies like Roadway; FedEx; UPS; Estes; ect pay $20+ a hour in the south (more up north) for city delivery drivers and it is steady work. No rain outs or layoffs. You can then work up to a road driver that goes out 250 to 300 miles and back the same shift and that pays .45+ a mile. Good Luck in what ever you do.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
