I have to get everyone who has children to read this. I don't know how to get this story out to the general public, so I am submitting it to every forum I can find. You guys have helped me in the past. Thank you, Bob On Sunday, July 23, 2006, My 4 year old grandson Justin lost his right leg just below the knee when he was accidentally run over by a riding mower. His mother was mowing around his play house when bee's started coming out from a nest in the overhang. As she jumped off the mower to avoid the bees, she tried to get the mower into neutral or over shot it into reverse or bumped it into reverse. Justin, somehow, was behind the mower at the time and was knocked to the ground and his right leg was trapped under the deck. He was Mercy flighted to Strong Hospital in Rochester, New York. After 6 hours of surgery, the surgeons could not reattach the lower portion of the leg. He is in intensive care and is scheduled for another 2 hours of grafting on Wednesday. Neither safety switch, one when getting off the seat - kills the engine or the one that stops the blades as you reverse, worked properly. Everyone is totally devastated by this terrible tragedy. Very, very sad situation. I am asking everyone for prayers for Justin and his parents. His Mom and Dad, Kristen and Brian, have not left his side. Cards of support would be greatly appreciated for Justin and his parents. The mail address to Justin at the hospital is below. Justin Baxter Family 601 Elmwood Ave Box Ronald McDonald Rochester, New York 14642 And to all farmers or tractor lovers: Justin loves farm tractors. I thought if any one would like to send Justin a photo of their farm tractor or a poster of a tractor for when he starts to recover, he would just love it. Please write your name and address on the back of the item. I am asking everyone to please pass this note on to everyone you know. This could happen to anyone. I know. Thank you for taking time to read this Bob VanWuyckhuyse Justin Baxter 1417 Sawyer Rd 1367 Sawyer Rd Kent, New York 14477 Kent, New York 14477 585-682-3036 E-Mail LEEFARMSKENT@cs.com

Old Time Threshing - by Anthony West. A lovely harvest evening late September 1947, I was a school boy, like all school boys I loved harvest time. The golden corn ripens well and early, the stoking, stacking,.... the drawing in with the tractors and trailers and a few buck rakes thrown in, and possibly a heavy horse. It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
