new 8 n motor,,no oil pressure

i had my 8 n rebuilt from top to bottom,,,had a pro machine shop assemble it also. we bolted the motor back on the tractor. cranked it over with the plugs out, and no oil pressure to the gage.we didnt crank it much,but enough to relize the pumps not primed,and the motor was assembled with pre lube , no worries there. i dont want to take the motor off and oil pan and pack the oil pump with vasoline,, what can i do to get the pump to prime?
