You may be using the driver for your old monitor. Go to start, settings, control panel, system, hardware, monitors, and select your monitor from the list. Left click on the monitor from the list and a screen will pop up. Click on the "Driver tab" and then click on "Update driver". Depending on the operating system that you have, 98, XP, or other you may have to load the driver from a disk that you got with the monitor. It is however best to use the Microsoft assigned driver.
