Here is the way I see it, you find a set of fenders for your ole tractor and decide they are worth $100. You bid a max of $100 two days before the end of auction and meanwhile someone else bids a max of $150 you get out bid... whether the other bidder bids two minutes after you or two seconds before end of auction. You would just end up paying over $150 for those fenders if the other bidder bid just after you and you decide to WIN and outbid them. Now those previously decided $100 fenders are costing you $150+. See my point? Doesn't matter when you bid but how much you bid.
