Jody, the bearing and seal can be changed on the PTO shaft. However, it will take at least a 10 ton press to get the bearing off. Your call, of course, but unless funding is a problem, I'd elect for the 1-3/8 shaft which will come with the new bearing and seal already installed. Of course, this will require a different ORC if you have the original 1-1/8" shaft installed now. Procedure for changing the shaft is simple. Nose the tractor down into a ditch (avoids losing hyraulic fluid), remove the four bolts holding the PTO assembly in, take the old shaft out and stick the new one in. Job done. HTH
