IH 424 and a Prince PTO Hydraulic Pump?

I"ve found a IH 424 with a loader (down pressure), power steering, good tires, decent paint, a few drips but none real bad, rebuilt motor 5 years ago and it"s had the same owner for the last 22 years for $3500. Anyhow, my questions are...
1. Is this a good deal?
2. Regarding the pto pump, it"s got a pass through splined female shaft. Do they make some sort of adapter to run a bushhog or is it best just to take the pump of when hogging?
