I managed to snag a couple decent Craftsmen ones used via Craigslist. If you live near a metro area, that can quite active -- there's a tool section. I think I paid $200 for a large ball-bearing top box, and a decent slider but non-bearing bottom. Terrific for my light use, and a lot more box then I could've gotten brandy new. Took me a couple weeks of cruising the list to find the right price / box /availability.
