Abby, I think your question concerns how hours translate to comparable miles on a car. Is that right. I have always used the 1000 hrs =40,000 miles on the odometer. This is very rough to be sure. So a 1000 hr. tractor equals a 40,000 mile cream puff in the auto world. A tractor with 3000 hrs is equal to 120,000 miles, etc. A lot depends on the use and maintainance. A light chore tractor with 1000 hrs. and infrequent oil changes could show more wear on its engine parts than a plow tractor with 3000 hrs.
