Well, yes, but renting you deal with the the large equipment rutting the drive and around the pond. Ya deal with feeling like a tresspasser on your own ground. You have equipment parked around the land for years ( eyesore, critter homes) you deal with cashing a somewhat small check while you see semi loads of 150+/acre corn coming off your land, then you find out the farmer gets more per acre from programs than he pays in rent. Every one like a 3-5% raise in there salaries right, well this will be my raise the next few years- provided my plan works as it should.
