Matt, I have used a heavy cultipacker pulled behind the disk to break up n smash dirt clods but that sort of packs the soil down you know. The other thing I have done is have a spring tooth harrow mounted on the rear of the disc if the grounds not too trashy but it serves more as a level n evener than to really "break up" big clods. For corn ground I didnt want or need to fine of a seed bed but for beans or small grains I tried to work it down more and pray it didnt come a hard pounding rain the would crust the soil over too tight grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
