Isn't the houses falling down that bugs me, it's the wonderful old barns I see crumbling and falling down. Most of these when abandoned were perfect but no longer viable for most purposes. I've seen many that were converted to machine sheds. A lot of the farm land in this area is sprouting houses. One 47 acre hay field we had is now a housing development with 30 houses that you couldn't touch for less than a $1,500 a month payment and they're building more! The lots were starting at $30,000 for about an acre. My property is a 1/4 mile from there (100 yards as the crow flys) and developers have bugged me for years. I've even thrown city folk out of my hayfield. Ask them what they think they are doing? "Oh we're thinking about buying this property". Better have a real fat checkbook pal, now leave!
