If it got the first feeding that is good... it got some colostrum.. that should help it out.. even if it is bottle fed the rest of the time. Sounds like a good deal on the calf trade.. both of you make out on that. I remember my cousin's (deceased) husband was a milk truck driver. He has told me stories of pulling into daries where they let the bull calf's die.. anyone who wanted them was free to get them.. either at birth.. or when they threw them on a pile to die... sounds greusome to me..
