6' wide 8 mph gives 6 * 8 * 5280 = 253,440 square feet per hour. 100 % efficiency (no wasted time not mowing) gives 253,440 / 43,560 = 5.8 acres per hour. 50 / 5.8 gives 8.6 hours to mow 50 acres.

Based on my 4020 gas, I'd estimate 40 gallons of gas.
