Assume a speed of 4 mph. You can go 4 miles, 5280x4 = 21120 ft in 60 minutes. Using elementary ratio and proportion: 60 min/21120 ft = x/7260 ft. x=20.625 minutes/acre or roughly 3 acres/hr. The 7260 is 43560 sq ft per acre/6 ft cutting width. In other words you have to travel 7260 linear ft to cut an acre with a 6 ft cutting width.Put in some sort of fudge factor for turns, used to know that estimate, but have forgotten, adjust for speed. I'm not responsible for mathematical errors!
