3/8" plate is 15.3 lbs per square foot, 3/4" plate is 30.6, the two together is 45.9. 4 x 8 = 32 square feet, so the total is 45.9 x 32 = 1468.8 lbs for the top plates alone, figure at least 500 lbs for framing heavy enough to carry it, so you are talking about a ton. Even a Ford F-350 with a powerjoke should handle it :-)
