The tracks do help in certain conditions. They let you get out a day or so earlier than wheels, they have lower compaction, they ride smoother, you avoid power hop (a problem with large, high horse tractors). They do have some limitations. The IH version can't be used in row crops, they cost more, the tracks are more expensive to replace. All in all, it's up to the operator to decide if the extra money is worth it. I've seen one running and they look like they will pull better than a wheeled 4wd. Aaron
