Every Jan. I get a notice from the DMV that my old [89] Ford F250 has to have an Emissions test and it will not pass the Hydrocarbons at Idle Test unless I: Replace spark Plugs,Change Oil and filter, Change air cleaner filter. Run tank near empty. Put 5 Gals of Hi test Gas in it. Put 2 bottles of Walgreens 70% Rubbing Alchol in it. Drive it for about 5 Miles. Cross my fingers' Take test. It will usually slide by then. The old gal has 215,867 Miles on it and will still pull our 35' Jayco 5th wheel to Elephant Butte Lake in N.M. where I fully forget all this Emissions Baloney while trying to drown a Fishing Worm. Sometimes I feel sorry for the Worm. Oh well.
