Before you get too far take thegenerator off and clean the armature. Also check the space between the 2 brushes that are close together. Then run the generator as a motor. Ground the field and see if it slows down. When you put the generator back on check the voltage output. Remember the generator output has to exceed battery voltage. I also made a generator troubleshooting chart for the Oliver collectors it will also work for your tractor. Let me know if you are interested. More questions? J.
