Seems it happens a lot at auctions... They say they are strict about security, but it seems they just check the honest buyers. I hate to be so cynical, but often I wonder is some of the auction personnel are the ones that take stuff. Last year, I bought some industrial machinery at an auction, by the time the riggers got there several days later, some accessories had been removed from one machine. It had to take at least an hour to remove them. I told the auction Co, that we needed to call in the police to find out who stole the parts. They wanted no part of that, but they did sort of make it up by giving me a lot of items that did not get sold. They also let me load up a lot of scrap aluminum, that brought good money...
