o/t f-350 power stroke

Guy down the road has a 1994 power stroke 4x4 1 ton for sale w/ gooseneck bed. The truck runs great but it cuts off every once in a while going down the road but restarts right back up. What could be wrong with it? He wants 7000. for it. It looks great but that cutting off scares me some. Thanks guys .
