My advice is to put a new thermostat in a new cap on it and a new gauge for startres make sure that the belts are propperly set and you have good flow of air comming thru the rad . Now you could be starting to get compression into the cooling system because of a head gskt . starting to leak or and injector well being cracked as you did not say what engine or make of combine this is or you could have a pin hole in a sleeve allowen comp. to enter the system . Could be the inpleller is slipen in the shaft on the water pump could be that the injection pump timming is off could be restricked airflow to the engine because of a pluged air filter and causing and over fuel condution , turbo going out . There are alot of could bee's and will take some seirous tracking down to find the problem.
