I can't remember what gear I was using with the 986, but with our Ollie it's ussually in 2nd, sometimes 3rd. That 986 hardly ever gets a work-out, most of the time it's just demoing a TMR mixer or shuttleing things around in their parking lot. In one year, they only put about 6-8 hours on it. When we rented it last year, we put on 9 hours in 2 days. Definately a big difference for that ol gal. My dad said once the 18 was on the bagger he could really let the wagons fly, he was hauling wagons with our 285 and he said he ussually had the pto at full speed.. That 986 must be a little tired from not working much at all... Donovan from Wisconsin
