It seems around here when one has a beat up bush hog, it mysteriously appears in a local auction to be passed on to a farmer wannabe for far too much money. Many, many wannabe's around here seem to frequent these auctions, purchasing bladeless bushogs with no gears in the gearboxes for all kinds of money......Along with broken plows, bent discs, manure spreaders with absolutely no parts left of any use except the tires...( The smaller the better, and if the chains are missing, along with the box floor, it doesn't seem to matter, as long as there is no manure in them at sale time....) Around here we tend to think of the auctions as farmer education school. All of us have paid the somewhat high tuition at times! :-)
