The only plus about combatting theft is that theives tend to be lazy. If your stuff is harder to steal than the next guy's, they'll go for his. Shipping containers are great- these things are designed from the start to be theft resistant-and do not cheap out on the lock either. Just make sure it's big enough that they don't take the whole thing. If you could it would be a good idea to "slip by" there through the week and check on things late in the day or night. It's an agravation but the stuff you save will be your own. And if you want your stuff back for half price check out all the local pawn shops.
