Used to be a real good place to go. Still is pretty good, but the folks behind the counter sure dumbed down a lot the past 8 years. Now you try to time your stop when the smart person will be there - much more hit & miss than it used to be. It used to be they were real helpful & smart about finding parts for a farmer type. They are slowly joining the other autoparts stores, with help that smiles & offers to change a wiper blade, but doesn't even know what a common bearing is or where it would be stocked - or heaven forbid one would have to figure out how to order one.... Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
